Thorkild Plougmann was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hieronim Literski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. Thorkild Plougmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Nedvěd in the 34th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Albert Heebels kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thorkild Plougmann. That made the score 2-0 in the 35 minute of play. But to his dismay, Martien Stühling quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The supporters of AC Pitt Bier booed when Sletteenge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Absalon Domini didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Martien Stühling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thorkild Plougmann was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sletteenge's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
