In the 9th minute John Garate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Muc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Independiente booed when Villawalter City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anxo Maestro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Amado Pacorro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villawalter City the free kick. In the 17th minute, Amado Pacorro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Alirio Puyol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Edgardo Lluterio got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute, Anxo Maestro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. J.P. España took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Iruinea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teobaldo Casomiro during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Teobaldo Casomiro kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Aldo Iruinea got a free kick in the 31st minute. A collision led to Villawalter City getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Cugat Incera hit a great ball. Teobaldo Casomiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for J.P. España. Villawalter City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36th minute Feliciano Jaunti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but J.P. España saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Jaunti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but J.P. España read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. J.P. España came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Feliciano Jaunti. But to his dismay, Feliciano Jaunti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Anxo Maestro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Anxo Maestro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christian Muc, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 55 played minutes, Independiente's Teobaldo Casomiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper J.P. España came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Independiente reached it. Feliciano Jaunti took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised J.P. España. J.P. España dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Christian Muc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anxo Maestro, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Pacorro in the 65th minute of play forced Villawalter City's goalkeeper J.P. España to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Independiente's Amado Pacorro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of J.P. España. That made the score 1-3 after 75 minutes of play. Amado Pacorro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. J.P. España tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. J.P. España made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Feliciano Jaunti sent off a good shot on target. Amado Pacorro kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of Villawalter City booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobaldo Casomiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute Andoitz Mendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Muc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Jesco hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Independiente had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
