Omar Abecia started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Liviu Zubaşcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Llorian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Tearle took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Froilan Llorian. Froilan Llorian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Erasmo Oidor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uptown Otters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almeyra F.C. the free kick. In the 18th minute, Omiros Tsartsikidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Almeyra F.C. booed when Uptown Otters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francis Lefevre didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Uptown Otters's Karl-Oskar Jonsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Froilan Llorian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Liviu Zubaşcu sped through Almeyra F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Froilan Llorian. Froilan Llorian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Zubaşcu in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Uptown Otters getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Rolando Tearle hit a great ball. The supporters of Almeyra F.C. booed when Uptown Otters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Staffan Bergman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roman Hernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Almeyra F.C.'s Omar Abecia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aimilios Manolas. That made the score 1-3 after 48 minutes of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Liviu Zubaşcu to strike the kick off in the second half. Froilan Llorian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Liviu Zubaşcu's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Claudio Camerino charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Camerino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Uptown Otters booed when Almeyra F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Camerino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uptown Otters's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 62nd minute of the game, when Liviu Zubaşcu after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Almeyra F.C.'s goal. Liviu Zubaşcu was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. With 79 minutes on the clock, Francis Lefevre commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uptown Otters! After having played for 88 minutes, Karl-Oskar Jonsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uptown Otters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Oskar Jonsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 98th minute by Fabian Kaszubowski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Uptown Otters walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
