A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Alkinoos Zisimopoulos hit a great ball. A collision led to Bar Marconi United getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ferdinando Tassotti hit a great ball. The supporters of Bar Marconi United booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apostolos Antoniou didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Ferdinando Tullo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Panagiotis Bourousis in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Marzo saved Bar Marconi United from getting behind. Carmine Di Mascio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Manos Papaiakovou made a huge save. Manos Papaiakovou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Magliocco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Christodoulou, in the 34th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Go Ahead Eagles. Alessandro De Angelis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manos Papaiakovou came out and tried to block the shot, but Alessandro De Angelis slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 42nd minute. Alex Marzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panagiotis Bourousis in the 45th minute of play. Alexander Fanelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Manos Papaiakovou made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessandro De Angelis to make the kick off. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Gerasimos Kallitsis hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Bar Marconi United's goal looked a bit too open when Panagiotis Bourousis came free, but Alex Marzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Manos Christodoulou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panagiotis Beloukas lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Go Ahead Eagles fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Ferdinando Tullo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 70 played minutes Bar Marconi United got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Magliocco. After 78 played minutes Bar Marconi United got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Magliocco. 87 minutes into the match, Bar Marconi United's goal looked a bit too open when Takis Chatzivrettas came free, but Alex Marzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ntinos Vounatsos, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Manos Papaiakovou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Fanelli in the 97th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Bar Marconi United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
