Leonidas Barrera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Buenaventura FC's Enrique Paredes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geraldo Urbano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Doni Paraíba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Leonidas Barrera made a huge save. Tomaso De Diego charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomaso De Diego the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Xapetuba Futebol Clube booed when Buenaventura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Xapetuba Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-2. There was no doubt that Xapetuba Futebol Clube were the better team. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
