The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sílvio Luiz Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Mendonça in the 5th minute of play. ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jano Marques in the 7th minute. ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s Jano Marques was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sílvio Luiz Goiano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 8th minute Angel Salazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Christian Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Dráusio Brodel hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Emiliano Anaya ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Claudinho Taffarel. Claudinho Taffarel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Sílvio Luiz Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio Brodel in the 20th minute of play. Claudinho Taffarel was a little too slow when Emiliano Anaya got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-0. Claudinho Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Angel Salazar sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Angel Salazar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Claudinho Taffarel. Claudinho Taffarel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Dráusio Brodel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s Romeu Dantas got a free kick in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s Marquinhos Dionísio got a free kick in the 41st minute. With a little luck, ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s Claudinho Taffarel got control of the ball when Emiliano Anaya tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Dráusio Brodel was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. When Carlos Alberto Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s protests and gave Carlos Alberto Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Nascimento.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emiliano Anaya stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Jimenez in the 52nd minute of play forced ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Real Madrid de Guatemala booed when ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Emiliano Anaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madrid de Guatemala's supporters rose to their feet, but Emiliano Anaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 66 minutes, Bebeto Secco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ and the Real Madrid de Guatemala players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Bebeto Secco hit a great ball. Romário Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Sílvio Luiz Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Mendonça in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute of the match, Christian Mendonça tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sílvio Luiz Goiano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 78th minute of the match Jano Marques sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Luiz Goiano skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jano Marques during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jano Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Claudinho Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Anaya in the 83rd minute of play. Real Madrid de Guatemala were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Angel Salazar took the corner. But to his dismay, Emiliano Anaya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Sílvio Luiz Goiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Mendonça in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Real Madrid de Guatemala had played much better football throughout.
