Union Madereros's Ismael Ourente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Solustiano Ameyugo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A hard shot 12 in the game by Daniel Laurendi from a close distance when the talented Solustiano Ameyugo managed to make a qualified save. Alianza Trujillo's players were relieved. Róbert Szepesvári made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turi Sendin in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Vellito Berges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Szepesvári saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Dep. Union Madereros were furious when Fabio Dimo was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 21 minutes into the game, one of Club Dep. Union Madereros:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Club Dep. Union Madereros:s Róbert Szepesvári showed great skill when he stopped Inacio Trevijano:s penalty. In the 23rd match minute, Club Dep. Union Madereros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Isidor to maneuver through the defense. Cornelio Colas charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornelio Colas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Club Dep. Union Madereros got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Colas. Róbert Szepesvári showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Turi Sendin, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Róbert Szepesvári came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Alianza Trujillo's Vellito Berges. But to his dismay, Vellito Berges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 40th minute Vellito Berges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Szepesvári saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Turi Sendin came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Alianza Trujillo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Turi Sendin couldn't finish the play. Solustiano Ameyugo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Laurendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ismael Ourente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Club Dep. Union Madereros's Hermengildo Jakue made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Solustiano Ameyugo was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Alianza Trujillo getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Rius Vivar hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Alianza Trujillo's Róbert Szepesvári threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vellito Berges, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Solustiano Ameyugo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael Ourente's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Róbert Szepesvári took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rius Vivar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Hermengildo Jakue hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alianza Trujillo's Oihan Villaelrriego was substituted for Vellito Berges. Club Dep. Union Madereros made a substitution. Placido Domingues replaced Hermengildo Jakue. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Róbert Szepesvári proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Club Dep. Union Madereros from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Alianza Trujillo getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Cordario Quiroz hit a great ball. Club Dep. Union Madereros made a substitution. Cornelio Hotz replaced Domingo Manny. In the 89th minute, Machado Maja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Ismael Ourente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Solustiano Ameyugo. Alianza Trujillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ismael Ourente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 94th minute Turi Sendin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Szepesvári saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaume Urtasabel got free with Róbert Szepesvári in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, Placido Domingues notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Alianza Trujillo's Solustiano Ameyugo. Solustiano Ameyugo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club Dep. Union Madereros fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alianza Trujillo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
