In the 21st minute Primitivo Eguen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Kinell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Plebeyos's goalkeeper Carlos Manuel Goyeneche, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Hampus Hammarström fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nykvarn's protests and gave Hampus Hammarström a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Fenomeno in the 40th minute of play forced Plebeyos's goalkeeper Carlos Manuel Goyeneche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Plebeyos's goalkeeper Carlos Manuel Goyeneche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Daly. John Daly hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
