Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Segundo Laurendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Mandrak in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Várzea F.C.'s Rogério Loureiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rogério Loureiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Várzea F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rogério Loureiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Várzea F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alvarado de Mar del Plata:s goal. Serafim Mesquita had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Fernando Eleazar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 8th minute, Fernando Eleazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alvarado de Mar del Plata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Bruninho Arósio hit a great ball. Fernando Eleazar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafim Mesquita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Mandrak in the 13th minute of play forced Alvarado de Mar del Plata's goalkeeper Segundo Laurendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Damian Rito made a precise shot to the right of Serafim Mesquita. Várzea F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When Alessandro Mandrak fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Várzea F.C.'s protests and gave Alessandro Mandrak a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Mandrak. 24 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Serafim Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Peru. Serafim Mesquita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Rito in the 25th minute. Segundo Laurendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Pedro Efren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Sebastian Lluc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Lluc got free with Serafim Mesquita in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The wind increased when Alessandro Mandrak made the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Sebastian Lluc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Alessandro Mandrak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Segundo Laurendi made a huge save. Segundo Laurendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Jano Paiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Várzea F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alvarado de Mar del Plata the free kick. Alvarado de Mar del Plata walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
