After 24 minutes Alvarado de Mar del Plata's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tiburcio Haimar who took care of the corner kick. Teodosio Macerio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Gerardo Edur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerardo Edur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Macerio having to interfere. Germán Burgos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Efren, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Gerardo Edur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Cesar Jenaro was substituted for Damian Rito. 83 minutes into the match, Alvarado de Mar del Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Edur came free, but Teodosio Macerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
