Patricio Mayol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Martxel in the 2nd minute of play. In the 8th minute Florín Sances shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Nazario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Braulio Chorche kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Cobresal's Mercurio Miquel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergio Nazario made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 20 played minutes Cobresal got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Escandón. Waitakere F.C.'s Sergio Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florín Sances in the 29th minute of play. Cobresal's Mercurio Miquel got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicanor Pueblo charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicanor Pueblo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cobresal booed when Waitakere F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Pueblo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 played minutes Cobresal got a freekick which was hit by Mercurio Miquel. Patricio Mayol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Pueblo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Pincheira in the 38th minute of play forced Waitakere F.C.'s goalkeeper Sergio Nazario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Cobresal. Eriberto Pincheira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sergio Nazario. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Waitakere F.C.'s Braulio Chorche got a free kick in the 46th minute. Florín Sances sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Sergio Nazario made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Florín Sances sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Waitakere F.C.'s Sergio Nazario got control of the ball when Florín Sances tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Florín Sances had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergio Nazario. Waitakere F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florín Sances was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Waitakere F.C. made a substitution. Tomas Unai replaced Arnoldo Oliviero. Waitakere F.C.'s Mateo Marin was substituted for Braulio Chorche. Patricio Mayol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Pueblo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 86 played minutes Waitakere F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Martxel. In the 89th minute, Florín Sances reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sergio Nazario. The goal made the score 0-4. Zacarias Lesardo kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Andy Ćuti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waitakere F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cobresal the free kick. Cobresal's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
