Ivo Claus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Dumitru Opincaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ivo Claus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd match minute, DINAMO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niolaao Lobregon to maneuver through the defense. Uwe Ziege took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryszard Borcz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uwe Ziege came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by DINAMO's Dumitru Opincaru. But to his dismay, Dumitru Opincaru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 34 minutes, Sascha Andre Rennert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sascha Andre Rennert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horea Hurmuzache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Claus in the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Ivo Claus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivo Claus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remus Elisei kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Niolaao Lobregon's late challenge caught a Rot-Weiss-Essen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sascha Andre Rennert in the 52nd minute of play forced DINAMO's goalkeeper Horea Hurmuzache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Sascha Andre Rennert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horea Hurmuzache was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. With a little luck, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege got control of the ball when Dumitru Opincaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ivo Claus succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. When Rot-Weiss-Essen's Ivo Claus in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DINAMO's goalie prevented a goal. DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sascha Andre Rennert in the 80th minute of play. Horea Hurmuzache stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sascha Andre Rennert's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the match, Ryszard Borcz notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege. Uwe Ziege was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Horea Hurmuzache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Claus in the 87th minute of play. DINAMO's Călin Feroiu got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horea Hurmuzache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sascha Andre Rennert in the 92nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ivo Claus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horea Hurmuzache was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in DINAMO's zone, Ivo Claus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horea Hurmuzache came out of the goal and Ivo Claus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded DINAMO left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rot-Weiss-Essen.
