In the 4th minute Menelaos Karatsolis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 minutes, Gualter Lago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dinamo Colorado and the Fc Otelul Galati players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fc Otelul Galati booed when Dinamo Colorado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th match minute, Fc Otelul Galati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miltos Zouvelekis to maneuver through the defense. In the 11thth minute of the game Erasmo Martins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Otelul Galati's Costel Caramitru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute Erasmo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costel Caramitru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fc Otelul Galati's Costel Caramitru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Meirelles in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Fc Otelul Galati's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Martins came free, but Costel Caramitru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Erasmo Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Costel Caramitru was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Marin Tufescu hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A collision led to Dinamo Colorado getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rafa Teixeira hit a great ball. Erasmo Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Fc Otelul Galati defense, Erasmo Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Costel Caramitru. The Fc Otelul Galati fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Costel Caramitru should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo Martins in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costel Caramitru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Costel Caramitru came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Dinamo Colorado's Erasmo Martins. But to his dismay, Erasmo Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

Costel Caramitru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erasmo Martins's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Dinamo Colorado's André Luís das Neves was substituted for Andres D'Alessandro. In the 63rdth minute of the game Erasmo Martins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Otelul Galati's Costel Caramitru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erasmo Martins who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Costel Caramitru when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Erasmo Martins could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Costel Caramitru however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Menelaos Karatsolis in the 79th minute of play forced Dinamo Colorado's goalkeeper Vitório Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinamo Colorado's Perivaldo Fonseca was substituted for Marcel Matos. A collision led to Dinamo Colorado getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. André Luís das Neves hit a great ball. Dinamo Colorado's André Luís das Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Slaviša Macanović hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Dinamo Colorado's Vitório Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Menelaos Karatsolis in the 88th minute of play. When the match was over Dinamo Colorado could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fc Otelul Galati throughout the match.
