In the 15th minute Leukothoe Lipsanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costel Caramitru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marin Tufescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Fc Otelul Galati defense, Dimitris Alatza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Costel Caramitru. The Fc Otelul Galati fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Costel Caramitru should have stopped the shot. Hernan Frances charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernan Frances the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Hernan Frances hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doru Costeiantu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kaineus Pintzopoulos came out and tried to block the shot, but Doru Costeiantu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 32nd minute. Costel Caramitru came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's Panagiotis Sousanis. But to his dismay, Panagiotis Sousanis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leukothoe Lipsanos in the 41st minute of play forced Fc Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Costel Caramitru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 played minutes ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ got a freekick which was hit by Alpheios Kyritsis. Lefteris Christodoulou kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Menelaos Karatsolis to strike the kick off in the second half. If Dimitris Alatza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimitris Alatza took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Costel Caramitru. Costel Caramitru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. In the 60th minute, ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's Leukothoe Lipsanos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Costel Caramitru. Costel Caramitru yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. Costel Caramitru was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Panagiotis Sousanis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Panagiotis Sousanis really showed his touch with that goal: 2-8. Costel Caramitru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leukothoe Lipsanos's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fc Otelul Galati's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Panagiotis Sousanis was slow to take the kick. During this time ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's players had a chance to rest. Panagiotis Sousanis made a great header on ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's corner, it was just that Fc Otelul Galati's Costel Caramitru managed to reach the ball for a save. Leukothoe Lipsanos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costel Caramitru having to interfere. Panagiotis Sousanis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Costel Caramitru made a huge save. A collision led to ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Hernan Frances hit a great ball. Costel Caramitru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leukothoe Lipsanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Fc Otelul Galati's Costel Caramitru got control of the ball when Salmakis Pezos tried to sneak it across the goal line. ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
