The crowd rose to their feet as Tuncay Cansever kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marta Poom. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Marta Poom made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Tuncay Cansever sent off a good shot on target. Tuncay Cansever might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marta Poom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Håkan Söderberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 85thth minute of the game Esiquio Villaspasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Degerfors IF's Håkan Söderberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Degerfors IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Imperio Catatumbo de Lara had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
