Berti Stand was slow to take the kick. During this time Hamburg Fighters's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Walt Schräder almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Merengue FC's Cirilo Frichoso did a great save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eustaquio Iraido made a kick off. Walt Schräder scored 2-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cirilo Frichoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 3-0 became the score in the 54th minute when Burkhard Niebler elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Burkhard Niebler fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hamburg Fighters's protests and gave Burkhard Niebler a yellow card for diving instead. Burkhard Niebler kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Matthew Jastrzembowski acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 65th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jacinto Frascuelo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Iraido got free with Matthew Jastrzembowski in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matthew Jastrzembowski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 92 minutes, Marco Lonzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merengue FC and the Hamburg Fighters players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marco Lonzo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Merengue FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hamburg Fighters walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
