The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Norberg came free, but Albérico Vilaverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute, Joel Hake ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albérico Vilaverde was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 9th minute Joel Hake shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albérico Vilaverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Hake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albérico Vilaverde having to interfere. Mattias Norberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albérico Vilaverde having to interfere. In the 29thth minute of the game Mattias Norberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Braga's Albérico Vilaverde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joel Hake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 played minutes Boomerang Bombers got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Uter. In the 45th minute of the match Celso Belo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claes Sandström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélder Trindade to make the kick off. Hélio Cerqueira hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, Dennis Uter sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Braga's Albérico Vilaverde didn't even have to move. Mattias Norberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Albérico Vilaverde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mattias Norberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albérico Vilaverde having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Braga's zone, Joel Hake stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albérico Vilaverde came out of the goal and Joel Hake tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl-Oskar Haeger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Albérico Vilaverde made a huge save. Joel Hake kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Claes Sandström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Trindade in the 72nd minute of play. If Mattias Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Hélio Cerqueira got a free kick in the 75th minute. A collision led to Boomerang Bombers getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Mattias Norberg hit a great ball. When Mattias Norberg came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Boomerang Bombers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mattias Norberg couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Boomerang Bombers's Joel Hake ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Albérico Vilaverde. Albérico Vilaverde yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Karl-Oskar Haeger hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Albérico Vilaverde was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Joel Hake capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Hake really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Boomerang Bombers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
