In the 10th minute, FC Steaua Pildesti's Costin Iorgu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 13th minute of the match, Costin Iorgu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vahdet Uçanok saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Octavian Bogdănescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Numan Tüzel in the 14th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augustin Nechifor in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vahdet Uçanok prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, LOI's Vahdet Uçanok got control of the ball when Augustin Nechifor tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Steaua Pildesti's Octavian Bogdănescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şensoy Gülen in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Oğuzer Tun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavian Bogdănescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The audience was convinced that Şensoy Gülen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavian Bogdănescu was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Vahdet Uçanok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costin Iorgu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Octavian Bogdănescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şensoy Gülen in the 34th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Gheorghe Vlăsiu had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Numan Tüzel during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Numan Tüzel hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Vahdet Uçanok was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Augustin Nechifor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Augustin Nechifor really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Octavian Bogdănescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Laurin in the 39th minute of the match. Octavian Bogdănescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alp Yaşar went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augustin Nechifor to strike the kick off in the second half. Vahdet Uçanok made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Nechifor in the 52nd minute of play. Numan Tüzel struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Octavian Bogdănescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LOI. FC Steaua Pildesti's Octavian Bogdănescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save FC Steaua Pildesti from getting a goal against them. Bonifacio Laurin scored 2-4 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Octavian Bogdănescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 68 minutes, Augustin Nechifor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Steaua Pildesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augustin Nechifor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute Costin Iorgu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahdet Uçanok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavian Bogdănescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bonifacio Laurin went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. Nichifor Vergulescu took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vahdet Uçanok. Vahdet Uçanok dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. After 78 played minutes FC Steaua Pildesti got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Nechifor. When Costin Iorgu came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the FC Steaua Pildesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costin Iorgu couldn't finish the play. In the 89th match minute, LOI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güvenç Semih to maneuver through the defense. Augustin Nechifor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vahdet Uçanok having to interfere. In the 91st minute Costin Iorgu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahdet Uçanok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
