Jo Maerschalcx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venceslao Solares in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of SK Dreigoten booed when Internacional Pechofrío was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Lasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Venceslao Solares to make the kick off.
