The referee ignored Vancouver Reds's protests and gave Geoffrey Roach a yellow card for diving instead. Geoffrey Roach kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Jo Maerschalcx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frances Grossman in the 11th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frances Grossman to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Cedric Van Landewijck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blake Vogt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Stein Vercouteren came free, but Blake Vogt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Guinn hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match Georges Van Der Talen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Blake Vogt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 61st minute Stein Vercouteren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blake Vogt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Washington Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Jules Van Beringhen came free, but Blake Vogt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 played minutes Vancouver Reds got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Quick. When SK Dreigoten's Washington Hermes in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Hermes in the 83rd minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Blake Vogt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blake Vogt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lex Haesevoets in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Hermes came free, but Blake Vogt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blake Vogt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Washington Hermes's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Stein Vercouteren struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Blake Vogt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Dreigoten. Washington Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blake Vogt having to interfere. There was no doubt that SK Dreigoten were the better team. SK Dreigoten's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
