The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurito Tassotti during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th match minute, A.S. Udinese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurito Tassotti to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Tiberiu Iuga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Alexandria Team08 getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ferdinand Şteţ hit a great ball. Fedele Schiacciacasse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Amânaloae in the 32nd minute of play. Unai Simon was a little too slow when Junior Maldini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 1-1. Alexandria Team08's Unai Simon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Maldini in the 47th minute of play.

A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Ermanno Moscatelli replaced Junior Maldini. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Amânaloae to make the kick off. After 84 minutes, Filippo Di Cesare mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.S. Udinese and the Alexandria Team08 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unai Simon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Di Fonzo in the 92nd minute of the match.
