An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Lizbeth in the 25th minute of play forced Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper Lars-Erik Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Kristian Nordström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bloodthirsty FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA the free kick. Kristian Nordström kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabrício Mesquita in the 29th minute. The corner led ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Ovidio Lizbeth to fire away a dangerous shot which Lars-Erik Forsberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ovidio Lizbeth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Forsberg having to interfere. In the 38th minute Fabrício Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars-Erik Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucio Txordon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lars-Erik Forsberg. Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Bloodthirsty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristian Nordström didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Bloodthirsty FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabrício Mesquita to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Ovidio Lizbeth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidio Lizbeth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's zone, Börge Sjöberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tautvydas Mickevičius came out of the goal and Börge Sjöberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Kristian Nordström was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 61 minutes had been played. After 62 played minutes Bloodthirsty FC got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Nordström. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrício Mesquita got free with Lars-Erik Forsberg in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ovidio Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ovidio Lizbeth struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Lars-Erik Forsberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA. After a defensive mix-up in Bloodthirsty FC's zone, Ovidio Lizbeth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars-Erik Forsberg came out of the goal and Ovidio Lizbeth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute Davi Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars-Erik Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 minutes Bloodthirsty FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabrício Mesquita who took care of the corner kick. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Freddy Primo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lars-Erik Forsberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The corner ended in Fabrício Mesquita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bloodthirsty FC's Lars-Erik Forsberg did a great save. Bo-Erik Mossberg hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Tomas Siggman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lars-Erik Forsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Quinton in the 85th minute of play. Lars-Erik Forsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Mesquita in the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of Bloodthirsty FC booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Lizbeth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bloodthirsty FC's Lars-Erik Forsberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Bloodthirsty FC from getting a goal against them. The Bloodthirsty FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
