Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Benjamim Negri started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Luiz Fábio Leme got a free kick in the 4th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonzalo Carneiro in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lúcio Domingues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Lúcio Domingues managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Nacional's Cordarrol Chamochin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With his leg Lúcio Domingues managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Nacional's Gonzalo Carneiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Katia Villalobos came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Luiz Fábio Leme. But to his dismay, Luiz Fábio Leme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Giro Horduña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute of the match Nacional got a corner. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Demario Caceo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Demario Caceo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Lúcio Domingues did a great save. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Tomás Marques hit a great ball. After 47 minutes of play, Nacional's Giro Horduña made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lúcio Domingues was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

54 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cordarrol Chamochin came free, but Lúcio Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Iguaçu MZFC's zone, Giro Horduña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Domingues came out of the goal and Giro Horduña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lúcio Domingues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute Ronald Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Katia Villalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Aparecido in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Dudu Queiroz hit a great ball. Giro Horduña scored 2-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lúcio Domingues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lúcio Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Carneiro in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Cássio Aparecido got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Demario Caceo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Torres Mo in the 87th minute really tested Katia Villalobos's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demario Caceo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamim Negri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Katia Villalobos having to make a save. Gonzalo Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Marques hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Lúcio Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordarrol Chamochin in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nacional had played much better football throughout.
