In the 5th minute of the match MAFFIAN got a corner. Set Fire's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sylvester Stallone ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sylvester Stallone made a great header on MAFFIAN's corner, it was just that Set Fire's Delmiro Rosalio managed to reach the ball for a save. If Daniel Dziura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Dziura's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kjell-Arne Hultman firmly grabbed it by the left post. In a very dangerous position, a player in MAFFIAN fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! The audience was convinced that Jean-Claude Van Damme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delmiro Rosalio was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Set Fire's Daniel Dziura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kjell-Arne Hultman. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tozé Novais during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Dziura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Daniel Dziura notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of MAFFIAN's Kjell-Arne Hultman. Kjell-Arne Hultman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tozé Novais scored 4-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kjell-Arne Hultman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Sylvester Stallone came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the MAFFIAN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sylvester Stallone couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Dziura in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kjell-Arne Hultman saved MAFFIAN from getting behind. Kjell-Arne Hultman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Dziura, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Many of MAFFIAN's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. MAFFIAN may have spent more time on the ball, but Set Fire were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
