Vitor José breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Alberto Viana made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Carlos Gaspar got free with Thibaut Courtois in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Ronaldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vitor José having to make a save. The UFC Puturoasa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 65th match minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Mello to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, UFC Puturoasa's Cristian Ronaldo got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 72nd minute, Alexei Caraman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitor José was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1.
