In the 6th minute Ricardo Benat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonis Maltezos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prodromos Koufos got free with Prospero Matxin in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, Prodromos Koufos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 de enero team's Prospero Matxin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prodromos Koufos in the 12th minute of play. Prodromos Koufos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prospero Matxin having to make a save. Prodromos Koufos struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Prospero Matxin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GREEN LIONS.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prodromos Koufos to make the kick off. In the 63rd minute, Baltasar Millano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prodromos Koufos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Prospero Matxin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prospero Matxin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Prodromos Koufos's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Benat in the 66th minute of play forced GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Antonis Maltezos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dimitris Kalokiris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Leguizamón in the 71st minute of play forced GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Antonis Maltezos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of 17 de enero team booed when GREEN LIONS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanouil Bakogiannis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The GREEN LIONS fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when GREEN LIONS's Prodromos Koufos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prodromos Koufos in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Prospero Matxin saved 17 de enero team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Prodromos Koufos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prospero Matxin was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Herminio Perfecto hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
