When Iakovos Koutsoubis fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GREEN LIONS's protests and gave Iakovos Koutsoubis a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes GREEN LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Iakovos Koutsoubis. In the 23rdth minute of the game Dante Txeru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GREEN LIONS's Antonis Maltezos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 26 in the game by Prodromos Koufos from a close distance when the talented Benedicto Iago managed to make a qualified save. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's players were relieved. In the 29th minute of the match, Prodromos Koufos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benedicto Iago saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Antonis Maltezos came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Salvador Benitez. But to his dismay, Salvador Benitez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sakis Kaberiss short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Benedicto Iago to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dante Txeru to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Prodromos Koufos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Iago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sakis Kaberis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Benedicto Iago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of GREEN LIONS booed when Defensores de Mar de Ajó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Perrando didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th match minute, GREEN LIONS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakis Kaberis to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Antonis Maltezos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Donostia. Prodromos Koufos hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Dante Txeru got a free kick in the 87th minute. The Defensores de Mar de Ajó players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
