The crowd rose to their feet as Arne Bronco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erasmo Ixona. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Carlos Fernando Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasmo Ixona read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Deportivo Mandiyu's Aurelio Abancens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Eufrasio in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Carlos Fernando Cardoso notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Marlin FC's Erasmo Ixona. Erasmo Ixona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 40 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Cardoso came free, but Erasmo Ixona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Marlin FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Domingo Jon hit a great ball. Erasmo Ixona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Cardoso in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Arne Bronco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Mandiyu's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Bronco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Ixona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Fernando Cardoso to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's Carlos Fernando Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erasmo Ixona narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With 58 minutes on the clock, Arnaldo Maurin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Roberto 吴勇 made a great header on Deportivo Mandiyu's corner, it was just that Marlin FC's Erasmo Ixona managed to reach the ball for a save. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Ibon came free, but Erasmo Ixona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Deportivo Mandiyu were awarded a corner. Roberto 吴勇 went to the cornerflag to take it. Deportivo Mandiyu's Roberto 吴勇 was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Erasmo Ixona in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Marlin FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Deportivo Mandiyu:s goal. The referee gave Deportivo Mandiyu a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carlos Fernando Cardoso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Marlin FC's Erasmo Ixona. 5-0. In the 90th minute, Anier Eufrasio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marlin FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. In the 98th minute Carlos Fernando Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Ixona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Mandiyu's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
