Geronimo Isadore made in the 3rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Nereo Henry immediately put the ball in play. Erasmo Ixona stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chiquito Benítez's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Aurelio Abancens made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Anier Eufrasio sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the match, Chiquito Benítez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Marlin FC's Erasmo Ixona. Erasmo Ixona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marlin FC's Erasmo Ixona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquito Benítez in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match, Ignacio Derwin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aurelio Abancens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 27th minute, Chiquito Benítez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasmo Ixona was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Deportivo Mandiyu made a substitution. Cesar Teofilio replaced Chiquito Benítez. 36 minutes into the match, Cesar Teofilio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erasmo Ixona. Marlin FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesar Teofilio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Erasmo Ixona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Bronco in the 39th minute of play. Gilberto Garaile kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The Marlin FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Mandiyu were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Cesar Teofilio made the kick off in the second half. Erasmo Ixona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arne Bronco in the 52nd minute. With a little luck, Marlin FC's Erasmo Ixona got control of the ball when Cesar Teofilio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deportivo Mandiyu's Cesar Teofilio got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erasmo Ixona made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Arne Bronco sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Marlin FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Deportivo Mandiyu:s goal. Marlin FC:s Erasmo Ixona showed great skill when he stopped Arne Bronco:s penalty. Erasmo Ixona stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesar Teofilio's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 82ndth minute of the game Cesar Teofilio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marlin FC's Erasmo Ixona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marlin FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Cesar Teofilio scored to the left of an out of position Erasmo Ixona, making the score, 0-4. Marlin FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Juan María Traverso scored to the left of an out of position Erasmo Ixona, making the score, 0-5. In the 98th minute Ignacio Derwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Abancens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Mandiyu left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Marlin FC.
