In the 11th minute, Edoardo Mozzoni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 15 minutes of play, Pegaso's Fermin Deunoro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When Edoardo Mozzoni fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Club Sicilia's protests and gave Edoardo Mozzoni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Sporting Club Sicilia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edoardo Mozzoni to maneuver through the defense. Pegaso's Uriel Orland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo De Vecchis in the 27th minute of play. After 31 minutes, Jarbas Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pegaso and the Sporting Club Sicilia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sporting Club Sicilia booed when Pegaso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilber McDonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Club Sicilia's Angelo Gizzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Club Sicilia from getting a goal against them.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fermin Deunoro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Edoardo Mozzoni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uriel Orland was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 65 minutes into the match, Pegaso's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Scrima came free, but Uriel Orland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarbas Dantas was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Pegaso's Jarbas Dantas got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Uriel Orland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Scrima in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to Pegaso getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Pastor Mino hit a great ball. Amos Giusto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Pegaso's Fermin Deunoro got a free kick in the 90th minute. Despite being the better team, Sporting Club Sicilia failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
