After 32 played minutes, Pegaso's Mauricio Celio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tony Dias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pegaso reached it. 35 minutes into the match, Iosif Cutieru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony Dias. Pegaso's Uriel Orland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Moldavsky in the 41st minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Moldavsky made a kick off. Luís Moldavsky scored 1-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Uriel Orland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tony Dias made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Iosif Cutieru sent off a good shot on target.
