The supporters of FC Lutanu booed when Tasso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saúl Gentil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Patrício Tomé made a precise shot to the right of Gavril Burnei. FC Lutanu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. FC Lutanu's Gavril Burnei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save FC Lutanu from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Tasso FC defense, Cosmin Argăseală kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeferino Távora. The Tasso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeferino Távora should have stopped the shot. In the 30th play minute Patrício Tomé came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gavril Burnei. 2-1. Zeferino Távora made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. When Patrício Tomé came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Tasso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrício Tomé couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrício Tomé made a kick off. Zeferino Távora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irinel Grozăvescu in the 69th minute of the match. Zeferino Távora made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosmin Argăseală in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saúl Gentil during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Saúl Gentil hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the FC Lutanu players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
