After a rather tough play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Șerban Rusu got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute Fabian Geambașu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Stelea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Breckenfeld came free, but Bogdan Stelea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Lutanu! FC Lutanu:s Remus Talianu showed great skill when he stopped Calistrat Potopea:s penalty. In the 47th minute, Calistrat Potopea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remus Talianu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Calistrat Potopea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Iacob Irimescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iacob Irimescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Calistrat Potopea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 67 played minutes, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Dragoş Cordescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remus Talianu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in F.C CLUJ MEDICINA reached it. The supporters of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA booed when FC Lutanu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Petriceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Șerban Rusu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Remus Talianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute of the game Adam Verzeanu made a throw-in which Iacob Irimescu played forward. In the 85th minute Cătălin Barbăroșie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Talianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Cătălin Barbăroșie in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA had played much better football throughout.
