Evert Meppelink's late challenge caught a HORIZZONT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evert Meppelink helped the player get up and apologised. Evert Meppelink hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, The Underdogs's goal looked a bit too open when Yaşar Akbuğ came free, but Jean-Paul Daalmeyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aybar Savaş hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, HORIZZONT's Bora Han Vahit got a free kick in the 19th minute. Rüştü Recber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard van den Eede in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to The Underdogs getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Izaak Achterberg hit a great ball. Jean-Paul Daalmeyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şaban Cumhur in the 28th minute of the match. HORIZZONT's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gerard van den Eede 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Izaak Achterberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rüştü Recber. That made the score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. After a rather tough play, HORIZZONT's Affan Tutkun got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Gerard van den Eedes short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Rüştü Recber to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of HORIZZONT booed when The Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izaak Achterberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Underdogs reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yaşar Akbuğ to strike the kick off in the second half. Izaak Achterberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rüştü Recber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, HORIZZONT's Aybar Savaş got a free kick in the 65th minute. The Underdogs's Denny Polak was substituted for Teo Reintjes. The supporters of The Underdogs booed when HORIZZONT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aybar Savaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the HORIZZONT players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The Underdogs.
