When Brito Montemayor fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Underdogs's protests and gave Brito Montemayor a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes The Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Brito Montemayor. 18 minutes into the game, Agne Hedström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Protegéerna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Underdogs the free kick. The Underdogs's Jean-Paul Daalmeyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo-Erik Springfält in the 24th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Pieter Lodewijks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
