The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Serafin Maurino was a little too slow when Alessandro Félix got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 9th minute Bernabe Oto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Alessandro Félix sped through PINGO PINGO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Serafin Maurino. Serafin Maurino made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Breno Koehler sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Buritama Sports's Aírton Veiga got a free kick in the 29th minute. Gilberto Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Restu in the 30th minute of the match. Bernabe Oto kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Serafin Maurino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Diguinho Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 3-0 became the score in the 37th minute when Breno Koehler elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Félix in the 40th minute of play forced PINGO PINGO's goalkeeper Serafin Maurino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Buritama Sports's Breno Koehler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serafin Maurino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, António Frankenhaeuser was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PINGO PINGO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buritama Sports the free kick. In the 47th minute, António Frankenhaeuser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernabe Oto made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Félix in the 53rd minute of play forced PINGO PINGO's goalkeeper Serafin Maurino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Buritama Sports booed when PINGO PINGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Ayala didn't get a good kick on the ball. PINGO PINGO's Serafin Maurino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Koehler in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Alessandro Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafin Maurino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Velloso in the 61st minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Marcelo Garoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PINGO PINGO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Garoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Garoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Gilberto Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Costa hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the PINGO PINGO defense, Alessandro Félix kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafin Maurino. The PINGO PINGO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafin Maurino should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Buritama Sports getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Breno Koehler hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Vimaro during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, PINGO PINGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Vimaro to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the PINGO PINGO defense, Alessandro Félix kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafin Maurino. The PINGO PINGO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafin Maurino should have stopped the shot.
