Olympiacos FC were furious when Dionysis Valassakis was red carded, 3 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 3rd minute, one of Olympiacos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Olympiacos FC. Egon Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Koudas, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ingo Kuster kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Koudas in the 19th minute of play forced Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Egon Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 played minutes Westra Aros SK got a freekick which was hit by Stig Waller. In the 23rd match minute, Westra Aros SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Mendoza to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Miltiadis Tsiranidis in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Westra Aros SK's Jörn Hylander. The crowd rose to their feet as Westra Aros SK's Don Nickler slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eustratios Vertsotis. That made the score 3-0 after 27 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Olympiacos FC defense, Gökberk Özgenc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustratios Vertsotis. The Olympiacos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustratios Vertsotis should have stopped the shot. If Don Nickler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Don Nickler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eustratios Vertsotis was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Egon Olsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitris Koudas's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gökberk Özgenc to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match, Dimitris Koudas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Egon Olsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Olympiacos FC's Eustratios Vertsotis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Nickler in the 59th minute of play. If Don Nickler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eustratios Vertsotis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Nickler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eustratios Vertsotis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Nickler in the 62nd minute of play. In the 62nd minute Don Nickler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustratios Vertsotis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gökberk Özgenc came free, but Eustratios Vertsotis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soulis Partalis kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Ingo Kuster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Don Nickler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eustratios Vertsotis. Olympiacos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Don Nickler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. If Don Nickler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eustratios Vertsotis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Nickler in the 79th minute of the match. If Gökberk Özgenc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Westra Aros SK's Egon Olsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Westra Aros SK from getting a goal against them. Eustratios Vertsotis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Nickler in the 94th minute of the match. Westra Aros SK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
