Stelian Hidiș could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Eustratios Vertsotis made a huge save. Tudor Feroiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Koudas, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The supporters of Olympiacos FC booed when ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Volosin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dimitris Koudas hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute of the match, Codrin Turbatu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eustratios Vertsotis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 20th minute Dimitris Koudas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Feroiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olympiacos FC's Eustratios Vertsotis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Turbatu in the 23rd minute of play. Codrin Turbatu struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Eustratios Vertsotis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ★POLI★™★VIOLA★. In the 28th minute, Dimitris Koudas made a precise shot to the right of Tudor Feroiu. ★POLI★™★VIOLA★'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Dimitris Koudas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iustin Bologa took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eustratios Vertsotis. Eustratios Vertsotis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Olympiacos FC made a substitution. Spyros Fotakis replaced Fondas Kalantas. Markos Kareklopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Codrin Turbatu made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Soulis Partalis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Feroiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustratios Vertsotis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Bologa in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Codrin Turbatu in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eustratios Vertsotis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iustin Bologa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Codrin Turbatu in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eustratios Vertsotis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 68 minutes, Ilie Moiș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ and the Olympiacos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ilie Moiș kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ got a freekick which was hit by Stelian Hidiș. Codrin Turbatu scored 2-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eustratios Vertsotis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Codrin Turbatu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustratios Vertsotis having to interfere. Petrică Tiberiu kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Dimitris Koudas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tudor Feroiu. The goal made the score 2-2. After a rather tough play, Olympiacos FC's Markos Kareklopoulos got a free kick in the 89th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
