Teodoro Navarro started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Altos Gatos FC booed when Esquirla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurens Van Aken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Beat in the 5th minute of play. Arsenio Eguen lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Altos Gatos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Esquirla FC:s goal. Edgardo Cordarrel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dimitri Huijbreghts came out and tried to block the shot, but Edgardo Cordarrel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. Felix Banegas kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. If Jo Rosbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimitri Huijbreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosme Pacorro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dimitri Huijbreghts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosme Pacorro, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosme Pacorro in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimitri Huijbreghts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th match minute, Altos Gatos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Pacorro to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basiel Van de Weijer in the 25th minute of play forced Altos Gatos FC's goalkeeper Anacleto Urtun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dimitri Huijbreghts was a little too slow when Esteve Gasteiz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 33rd minute, Michel Nilis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Teodosio Beat kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dimitri Huijbreghts. That made the score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. Dimitri Huijbreghts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Esteve Gasteiz in the 40th minute. The audience was convinced that Teodosio Beat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dimitri Huijbreghts was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Etxatxu in the 43rd minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Dimitri Huijbreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Godfredo Etxatxu might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dimitri Huijbreghts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godfredo Etxatxu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute Esteve Gasteiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitri Huijbreghts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimitri Huijbreghts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodosio Beat went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Anacleto Urtun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Claeys in the 67th minute of the match. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteve Gasteiz in the 69th minute of play. Dimitri Huijbreghts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Beat, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 72nd match minute, Esquirla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Claeys to maneuver through the defense. When Teodoro Navarro came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Altos Gatos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Navarro couldn't finish the play.
