Gandolfo Sánchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas in the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Richy Van Mellaert notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of F.C Un dia de partit's Gandolfo Sánchez. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas made the kick off in the second half. If Eustaquio Gil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Victor Olle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Gandolfo Sánchez to make any attempt to save it. After 93 minutes, Wes Goons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esquirla FC and the F.C Un dia de partit players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Esquirla FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
