Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mike Travis got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Zack Sneed notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Granicerul's Octavian Bebeșel. Octavian Bebeșel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 9th minute Eusebiu Ianculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristopher Herndon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Inmortales FC's goalkeeper Cristopher Herndon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valeriu Uduleanu. 16 minutes into the match, Laurențiu Ciociu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristopher Herndon. Inmortales FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laurențiu Ciociu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The supporters of Granicerul booed when Inmortales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymundo Sterling didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Inmortales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Ianculescu came free, but Cristopher Herndon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Codrin Olaru got free with Cristopher Herndon in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristopher Herndon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Codrin Olaru's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 30 minutes, Laurențiu Ciociu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Granicerul and the Inmortales FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Larry Colby took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Octavian Bebeșel. Granicerul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Inmortales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Ianculescu came free, but Cristopher Herndon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match Granicerul got a corner. Inmortales FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Laurențiu Ciociu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Granicerul's Laurențiu Ciociu to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristopher Herndon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th match minute, Inmortales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Travis to maneuver through the defense. When Laurențiu Ciociu came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Granicerul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurențiu Ciociu couldn't finish the play. Codrin Olaru hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Codrin Olaru made a kick off. Laurențiu Ciociu struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Cristopher Herndon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Granicerul. After a rather tough play, Granicerul's Laurențiu Ciociu got a free kick in the 56th minute. Valeriu Uduleanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Granicerul's Laurențiu Ciociu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Inmortales FC. A collision led to Granicerul getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Olimpiu Zdrenghea hit a great ball. After 78 minutes, Wade Hadley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inmortales FC and the Granicerul players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Inmortales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wade Hadley to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Granicerul getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Laurențiu Ciociu hit a great ball. Larry Colby was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valeriu Uduleanu in the 86th minute of play forced Inmortales FC's goalkeeper Cristopher Herndon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Royce Dwyer's late challenge caught a Granicerul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Royce Dwyer helped the player get up and apologised. When Mike Travis fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inmortales FC's protests and gave Mike Travis a yellow card for diving instead. Cristopher Herndon came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Granicerul's Valeriu Uduleanu. But to his dismay, Valeriu Uduleanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After having played for 95 minutes, Codrin Olaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granicerul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Codrin Olaru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Granicerul's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
