With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codrin Olaru in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Leheren saved BENA FK from getting behind. Eusebiu Ianculescu hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 11th match minute, BENA FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Dahlbom to maneuver through the defense. Gaspar Leheren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Ianculescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Codrin Olaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Leheren having to interfere. Eusebiu Ianculescu struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Gaspar Leheren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Granicerul. Gaspar Leheren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manole Colin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olimpiu Zdrenghea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gaspar Leheren. BENA FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codrin Olaru in the 24th managed to get into a good position. In the 28th minute Laurențiu Ciociu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Leheren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebiu Ianculescu in the 33rd minute of play forced BENA FK's goalkeeper Gaspar Leheren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Leheren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Ciociu in the 41st minute of the match. Gaspar Leheren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codrin Olaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the BENA FK defense, Eusebiu Ianculescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaspar Leheren. The BENA FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaspar Leheren should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Granicerul getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Codrin Olaru hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alf Dahlbom made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Granicerul's zone, Alf Dahlbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Bebeșel came out of the goal and Alf Dahlbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute, Laurențiu Ciociu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of BENA FK booed when Granicerul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Ciociu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Granicerul were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after BENA FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Laurențiu Ciociu took the corner. Eusebiu Ianculescu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 65 minutes, Alf Dahlbom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BENA FK and the Granicerul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes BENA FK got a freekick which was hit by Leif Hellström. In the 70th minute Laurențiu Ciociu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Leheren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Leheren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Colin in the 72nd minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, BENA FK's goalkeeper Gaspar Leheren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Codrin Olaru. After 79 played minutes Eusebiu Ianculescu rounded BENA FK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. When Granicerul's Codrin Olaru in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BENA FK's goalie prevented a goal. Gaspar Leheren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebiu Ianculescu went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erling Sundström during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Eusebiu Ianculescu came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Granicerul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebiu Ianculescu couldn't finish the play. Leif Hellström hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Granicerul got a freekick which was hit by Paul Uduleanu. The Granicerul supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Granicerul would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
