The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, Zorros del Desierto's Patxi Claude nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esteban Iigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Zorros del Desierto's Simón Villalta got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zorros del Desierto's Jean Cruz quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Virgilio Quinton, made in the 17th minute of the game. In the 20th match minute, Zorros del Desierto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patxi Claude to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Pérez was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. A collision led to Zorros del Desierto getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rodrigo Pérez hit a great ball. Ceferino Balasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Quexal in the 27th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Zorros del Desierto's zone, Geronimo Satordi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceferino Balasi came out of the goal and Geronimo Satordi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Branco FC's Felipe Rozarius got a free kick in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goal looked a bit too open when Sotiris Vergos came free, but Ceferino Balasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sotiris Vergos took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ceferino Balasi. Ceferino Balasi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Jorge-Luis Sivieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sotiris Vergos was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Jorge-Luis Sivieri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zorros del Desierto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Branco FC the free kick. Jorge-Luis Sivieri kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Jorge-Luis Sivieri took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esteban Iigo. Esteban Iigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. A collision led to Zorros del Desierto getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jorge-Luis Sivieri hit a great ball. Ceferino Balasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Quexal, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The supporters of Branco FC booed when Zorros del Desierto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge-Luis Sivieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 played minutes Branco FC got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Rozarius. Jean Cruz succeeded in the game's 78th minute to get real power on a long shot . Branco FC's Esteban Iigo hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-1! In the 87th minute, Sotiris Vergos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Quinton hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotiris Vergos in the 95th minute of play forced Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Ceferino Balasi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zorros del Desierto had won after a very even match.
