Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zé Carlos Paranaense took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Adalberto Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espigão Steamrollers's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalberto Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Válter Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celsinho Aparecido during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Internazionale-RS's Celsinho Aparecido got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper David Godoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Narciso Ceresso charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Narciso Ceresso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Espigão Steamrollers booed when Internazionale-RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emerson Leal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorginho Soares went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válter Dantas in the 23rd minute of play forced Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper David Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ronaldinho de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Narciso Ceresso hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Adalberto Quadros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espigão Steamrollers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Internazionale-RS the free kick. Adalberto Quadros kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorginho Soares made a kick off. When Válbson Gaúcho fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espigão Steamrollers's protests and gave Válbson Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. A hard shot by Ronaldinho de Amaral from long distance, 52 minutes into the match, got Emerson Leal's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Giovanni Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Internazionale-RS's Jorginho Soares was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 56th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Washington Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Washington Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Washington Costa hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Internazionale-RS's David Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Dantas in the 61st minute of play. Emerson Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 played minutes Espigão Steamrollers got a freekick which was hit by Válter Dantas. Válter Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Internazionale-RS's Dino de Toledo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emerson Leal. Emerson Leal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. David Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cauã Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adalberto Quadros in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Espigão Steamrollers's Adalberto Quadros got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute Válter Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Espigão Steamrollers's Emerson Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Soares in the 96th minute of play. The Internazionale-RS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Internazionale-RS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
