The crowd rose to their feet as Meng Ran kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yıldırım Yaman. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Estrela Solitária's Téo de Castro got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute Aras Daman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milosz Kluska saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yıldırım Yaman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruud Gullit in the 8th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Ruud Gullit dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yıldırım Yaman, 2-0. Enio Ortiz hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Evren Tanfer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Milosz Kluska was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruud Gullit got free with Yıldırım Yaman in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emirşah Serdinç made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Estrela Solitária's Segundo Dei. Estrela Solitária's Enio Ortiz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 26th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Yıldırım Yaman but with some difficulty. The Estrela Solitária fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Estrela Solitária's Ruud Gullit looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 38 minutes of play Estrela Solitária's Téo de Castro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Téo de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of Fenerbahçe booed when Estrela Solitária was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patryk Trela didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evren Tanfer in the 42nd minute of play forced Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Milosz Kluska to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milosz Kluska showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aras Daman in the 45th minute of the match. Milosz Kluska made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tuncer İribaş in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tuncer İribaş was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Gaetano Scirea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Estrela Solitária's Ezequiel Proença managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Emirşah Serdinç in the 53 minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel Proença during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 57 minutes into the match, Ruud Gullit notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Fenerbahçe's Yıldırım Yaman. Yıldırım Yaman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Evren Tanfer took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Milosz Kluska. Milosz Kluska dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. 65 minutes into the match, Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Milosz Kluska had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aras Daman. A hard shot by Tuncer İribaş from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Milosz Kluska's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 73 minutes into the match, Evren Tanfer notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Estrela Solitária's Milosz Kluska. Milosz Kluska was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tuncer İribaş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Milosz Kluska made a huge save. 87 minutes into the game, one of Estrela Solitária:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tuncer İribaş did an outstanding performance 91 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-4 to the right of an irritated Milosz Kluska in the goal. Tuncer İribaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Fenerbahçe could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Estrela Solitária throughout the match.
