The supporters of Atletico Maturrango booed when Lagrima en Jarrita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Bordat didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Efrain Vilardell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Lucas Herena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The throw-in from Eustacio Bordat in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Atletico Maturrango's Dei Ibarlucea. Efrain Vilardell took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Herena. Lucas Herena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Efrain Vilardell scored 3-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucas Herena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lucas Herena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Vilardell, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Efrain Vilardell made a kick off. Atletico Maturrango's Efrain Vilardell got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56thth minute of the game Efrain Vilardell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lagrima en Jarrita's Lucas Herena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Lagrima en Jarrita defense, Efrain Vilardell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucas Herena. The Lagrima en Jarrita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucas Herena should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the match, Lagrima en Jarrita's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Vilardell came free, but Lucas Herena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bayındır Otay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Olayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Eufemio Andonegui kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Lagrima en Jarrita's Lucas Herena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Vilardell in the 75th minute of play. After 75 minutes, Xzavaier Barsi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Maturrango and the Lagrima en Jarrita players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xzavaier Barsi hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Atletico Maturrango's goalkeeper Bayındır Otay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Bizi. Efrain Vilardell might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucas Herena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Efrain Vilardell ran back to his position shaking his head. Lucas Herena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Vilardell in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute Efrain Vilardell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Herena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Aurelio Bizi came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Lagrima en Jarrita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Bizi couldn't finish the play. In the 94thth minute of the game Efrain Vilardell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lagrima en Jarrita's Lucas Herena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Atletico Maturrango's Efrain Vilardell in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lagrima en Jarrita's goalie prevented a goal. The Atletico Maturrango players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
