After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Juan-Carlos Alamon got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Elmar Neijsen kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Roque Mora struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Mark Kimman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Guayaquil FC. In the 11th minute of the match, Mellington Chirivoga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mark Kimman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mark Kimman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mellington Chirivoga in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lemel SV's zone, Franco Mussoll stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Kimman came out of the goal and Franco Mussoll tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mellington Chirivoga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Mark Kimman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Gerard Keupink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zuriko Lagala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Gerard Keupink got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zuriko Lagala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teun Schoenmakers in the 27th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Eddy Niemeyer. A hard shot 30 in the game by Franco Mussoll from a close distance when the talented Mark Kimman managed to make a qualified save. Lemel SV's players were relieved. Mark Kimman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Macias Ribadas in the 34th minute of play. Eddy Niemeyer hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Franco Mussoll dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mark Kimman, 3-0. 41 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's goal looked a bit too open when Mellington Chirivoga came free, but Mark Kimman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mark Kimman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Mussoll in the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elmar Neijsen made a kick off. Mark Kimman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Mussoll in the 57th minute of play. When Franco Mussoll came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Inter de Guayaquil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franco Mussoll couldn't finish the play. In the 64th match minute, Inter de Guayaquil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alarcón Mallavia to maneuver through the defense. Teun Schoenmakers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zuriko Lagala came out and tried to block the shot, but Teun Schoenmakers slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 66th minute. Elmar Neijsen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Zuriko Lagala when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Lemel SV getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Eddy Niemeyer hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Mussoll in the 75th minute of play forced Lemel SV's goalkeeper Mark Kimman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Zuriko Lagala got control of the ball when Gerard Keupink tried to sneak it across the goal line. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Zuriko Lagala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmar Neijsen in the 82nd minute of play. Inter de Guayaquil FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Teun Schoenmakers scored to the left of an out of position Zuriko Lagala, making the score, 3-2. In the 88th minute, Teun Schoenmakers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Franco Mussoll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Kimman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mellington Chirivoga's late challenge caught a Lemel SV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mellington Chirivoga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd match minute, Inter de Guayaquil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mellington Chirivoga to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Alarcón Mallavia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lemel SV were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
