Rene Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Mingo in the 9th minute of play. Rene Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Caetano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alan Chupakhin charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Chupakhin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, Roque James reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bernabe Osorio. The goal made the score 1-1. After 20 minutes, Eusebiu Feteanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CLATHU and the ..Villa Rugby Club.. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Eusebiu Feteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rene Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Caetano in the 25th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Mingo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Higuita was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Higuita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rene Higuita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anastasio Frans's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

In the 51st minute of the match Alan Chupakhin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernabe Osorio skillfully saved the ball. Bernabe Osorio came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by ..Villa Rugby Club..'s Manuel Iban. But to his dismay, Manuel Iban quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Rene Higuita made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Emanuel Mingo sent off a good shot on target. Augusto Udalaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Rene Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Mingo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Mingo's late challenge caught a ..Villa Rugby Club..'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Mingo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Rene Higuita made a huge save. Rene Higuita made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Emanuel Mingo sent off a good shot on target. If Manuel Iban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the CLATHU players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
