Sajones F.C.'s Julio Quinten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Sajones F.C. from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chiel Donderwinkel got free with Julio Quinten in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, Mateo Libertad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Serafino Jerano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 28 minutes, Serafino Jerano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sajones F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafino Jerano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sajones F.C.'s Julio Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiel Donderwinkel in the 37th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Jacco van Dartel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Quinten. Sajones F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacco van Dartel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastian Richie to strike the kick off in the second half. When Sajones F.C.'s Sebastian Richie in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jacco van Dartel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Quinten. Sajones F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sajones F.C. made a substitution. Celso Burutzagi replaced Mateo Libertad. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
