After 9 played minutes Elegance Dijon got a freekick which was hit by Adil Caruso. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Mario Dostie got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elegance Dijon's Nathanaël Teissier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Elegance Dijon from getting a goal against them. Jason Achin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathieu Gaud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Qikiqtarjuaq FC defense, Yann Guillemin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jason Achin. The Qikiqtarjuaq FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jason Achin should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Nathanaël Teissier successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 28th minute Yann Guillemin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Achin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-2 became the score in the 29th minute when Mathieu Gaud elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Bruce Morin fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Qikiqtarjuaq FC's protests and gave Bruce Morin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Bruce Morin got a free kick in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benoît Maniez made a kick off. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Bruce Morin got his second yellow card of the match in the 50th minute. The referee ordered Bruce Morin off the ground. In the 52nd minute, Mario Dostie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Yann Guillemin put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jason Achin. After a rather tough play, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Will Greenberg got a free kick in the 57th minute. Jason Achin was a little too slow when Yann Guillemin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-4. Benoît Maniez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jason Achin came out and tried to block the shot, but Benoît Maniez slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 64th minute. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Yann Guillemin scored to the left of an out of position Jason Achin, making the score, 0-6. In the 69th minute Mathieu Gaud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Achin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Vandamme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jason Achin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Qikiqtarjuaq FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Thaddeus Bellemare hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Mathieu Gaud left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elegance Dijon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. During this time Elegance Dijon's players had a chance to rest. 94 minutes into the match, Yann Guillemin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jason Achin. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yann Guillemin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. The Qikiqtarjuaq FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Elegance Dijon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
